De kwetsbaarheid die mensen in staat stelt beter, menswaardiger samen te gaan. De harmonie van een wereld in vrede. Daartoe ‘snapt’ zij haar onderwerpen in momenten waarop de tederheid van verinnerlijking overstelpend straalt. Haar waarneming toont onweerstaanbaar steeds weer de zuiverheid van de eerste ontdekking.

Op zondag 20 maart wer de eerste solo show van anne Francoise geopend door Sigal Weissbein-Rozman - Embassy of Israel met de volgende speech:

It was International Womens’ Day when I received the invitation to come and open this exhibition by an Israeli woman artist whose paintings express peace and tranquility. Of course, I was happy to meet a woman artist from Israel, but I couldn’t understand how it was possible for an artist from Israel to express such peace and tranquility in her art when the Israeli reality was so chaotic and intense. You might think painters in Israel, have to deal with the bright sun light, the intense heat and the harsh news flashes. Looking at the paintings by Anne Francoise Ben-or, made me realize how one can survive the outside world by painting it in different colors. Anne uses realistic figures real compositions and situations and yet, she seems to blur the sharpness of the everyday life in layers of her inner images of beauty.
Isn’t it something which we women do? Or are capable of doing? Isn’t it the role that we have taken upon ourselves-to try to comfort and to ease. It goes all the way back to Biblical times-where it is written that “Shalom Be’ Bait”, peace in the home is the responsibility of the woman.
Anne Ben Or makes peace within herself but also brings the viewers to a peacefull state of mind. As an artist she not only brings peace into the home, but also in the world outside. Most of the figures in her paintings are women, strong women, mostly seen from the back or without description of their faces. And yet, she creates their stories and their strong presence through the postures of the body and the use of soft colors.

It is pure pleasure to look at the world through your prisma.It makes it a better for all of us.
